Toronto has a great dog community with more than 180 dog-friendly parks that you can find on the DogPack app. The long winter months can make it difficult to exercise your dog; however, bringing your fur friend to a dog park for even 15 minutes can dramatically improve their health and happiness. In no particular order, here are eight incredible off-leash dog areas in Toronto!
Address: 1 Cherry St, Toronto
This dog friendly beach is well known to most locals in Toronto. This is by far the best place in Toronto to bring your pup swimming. Make sure your dog is wearing their some waterproof collars for days at the beach!
Etobicoke Creek Off Leash Dog Park
Address: South of Dundas, Southcreek Rd, Mississauga
Another awesome dog park with an area for swimming and an area for regular dog park fun! The reason we included this one and Cherry Beach is becasue this one doesn't have sand. Many dog owners prefer not bringing their pups to areas with sand too often, simply because of how hard it is to clean from a dog's fur!
Coronation Park
Address: 711 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto
This dog park is simply stunning in both the Summer and the Winter. There is tons of open space for dogs to play, and some baseball diamonds nearby. This is the type of park that you can enjoy going to on any day of the year!
Sunnybrook Park
Address: 1132 Leslie St, Toronto
This dog park is perfect for games of fetch and for energetic dogs that love to run and chase eachother. There's also wooded hiking trails that surrounds the park! For dogs not trained in recall, we recommend a collar with an Air Tag holder in case your dog wanders off as there is plenty of opportunities for them to do so in this park.
Sherwood Park
190 Sherwood Ave, Toronto
Another amazing wooded dog park with beautiful trails. This is a perfect spot to get away from city life while still being in Toronto! Your dog is sure to make many friends at this popular dog park!
Trinity Bellwoods Dog Bowl
790 Queen St W, Toronto
One of the more unique dog parks in Toronto, this park features a large sunken area in the middle of the park, commonly referred to as "The Bowl", where dogs are free to play off-leash until the sun goes down!
High Park Dog Off Leash Area
1873 Bloor St W, Toronto
More wooded areas and more places for your dog to do what it love best - be a dog! This park is another gem in Toronto and gives you a real feeling of being in nature without having to leave Toronto.
Withrow Dog Park
725 Logan Ave, Toronto
One of the smaller parks on this list, Withrow dog park was one of the first ever dog parks in Toronto! This dog park is usually packed with dogs, so if you have a pup that is great at socializing, then this is the place for you.
