Wattle Glen War Memorial Park is a lovely spot for dog owners and their furry friends, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. This dog-friendly area features a fully fenced off-leash space where your pooch can roam freely, especially when the sports oval is available. While it’s important to note that this isn’t an official dog park, the local council allows dogs to enjoy the fenced area, but it’s best for one family with dogs at a time to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. As you explore the park, you’ll find plenty of beautiful pathways along the Diamond Creek River, perfect for leisurely strolls with your four-legged companion. There’s a delightful mix of wildlife to spot, and jolly encounters with other dog walkers are common. Keep in mind that the walking trails can get busy with cyclists and runners, which might be a bit overwhelming for some pups. Amenities like free parking, shaded areas, and wheelchair accessibility make this park convenient for everyone, though you’ll need to bring your own poop bags and water for your dog. Overall, with pleasant seating spots and natural beauty, it's an enjoyable destination for a day out with your dog!

A really pretty parkland hidden down away from the main road & noisy traffic. Park at the sports oval & if there are no events happening, the oval is available for dogs to play in a fully fenced area inside whilst off-lead. Please remember that this is not an official dog area & the council have been generous allowing dogs to use this fenced area. The general protocol appears that it's one dog family at a time. Furthermore there are endless pathways to walk along the Diamond Creek River with your pooch. Wildlife appear, farm animals & plenty of other dog walkers on this well used track. The water in the creek is either totally inaccessible & dried up, or flooding the track entirely - all season dependent! Some seating is provided along the path & we spotted a wallaby plus a galah pair. Only one small negative is that at times the walking track can get busy. There are many cyclists & runners, which I know can get overwhelming for some dogs.
