Excellent dog park! Lots of room to roam on the trails that go around the lake. Dogs are happy, people are happy!
Great off leash walk. I'm still using leash as recall not great yet but good way to socialize your dog and so many trails to change things up beautiful Forest walk

Beyond expectations. Gorgeous park, when you arrive you walk into a space that feels like an outdoor lobby for dogs to greet one another. Parking lot is quite small so if it's busy you may have to park on the side of the road. There is a little lake which would be so full of dogs in summer, loads of space for running and jumping fetch off the rocks into the water. Park is super clean and well maintained. Bridges and stairs and there are some parts that are on leash but it seems as long as you go give space to leashed dogs no one fusses. If I lived in Nanaimo again I'd be bringing my dog several times per week. Just everything you'd want in a dog park. No fences though so if your dog is prone to running off you might want to work on recall first.
