Cedar Valley Dog Park, located at 17858 McCowan Rd, is a well-favored destination for dog owners and their furry companions. This official dog park features a spacious, enclosed area where dogs can play freely, along with off-leash trails that offer a beautiful natural setting for walks. Users appreciate the friendly atmosphere, both from other dog owners and their pets, making it a great place for socialization. The park also connects to surrounding forests, providing ample opportunities for extended, unofficial off-leash adventures. While the park is generally well-received, some visitors have noted concerns such as icy conditions during winter and spring, making ice cleats a potential necessity for safer trekking. Additionally, a few users mentioned that some dogs may get overwhelmed at the gates, and there was an incident involving a dog getting stuck behind a fence on a trail. Regardless, Cedar Valley Dog Park remains a preferred spot for creating memorable outdoor experiences with your dog.

Great trail! Dogs loved it! The only reason for a 4 out of 5 is one of the dogs got stuck behind a fence on the trail and was trapped. Why put a wire fence in the valley off the trail? Great Christmas Day walk!
Large enclosed area surrounded by off leash trails. 1 of only 2 official off leash York Region forests. Owners are generally very friendly as are most dogs. Trails can be icy in the winter and spring, ice cleats may be needed.
Nice large area for dogs, with natural grass and 2 entrances. Attached to forest for nice unofficial off leash walks. Some dogs can crowd the gate making entry a bit overwhelming for some dogs
