Eglinton Park, located at 200 Eglinton Ave W in Toronto, is a dog-friendly area that offers a spacious, open grass field for dogs to enjoy. However, it's important for dog owners to ensure their pets have master recall and are well-socialized, as the park is bustling with various activities, including a playground, splash pool, bike path, and soccer camps. With no fencing around the designated dog area, your furry friend could easily be distracted by the sights and sounds of the park, which may lead to potential hazards, especially for untrained dogs. Many users have echoed similar sentiments, advising dog owners to keep their pets leashed if they are not fully reliable off-leash. While the park is a great spot for socialization and exercise, careful supervision is necessary to prevent any mishaps. Overall, Eglinton Park can be a wonderful place for you and your dog to enjoy, so long as you stay attentive to your pet’s behavior amidst the lively surroundings.

Before letting your dog off leash and to have a good time at this park, you may want to make sure your dog has master recall and have them well-socialized with different dogs and children. The park has no fence with a huge open grass field. There is a playground, splash pool, bike path, picnic and soccer camp taking place. This means there are lots of activities going on at any typical day for an untrained dog to handle. I speak from experience that a dirty shirt on the ground has sent my puppy almost running off to the road. He is on a leash until he is older.
