We came here for the first time and had a blast! The trail has fence along both sides. I leave my puppy on leash when walking up and down the flight of stairs towards Bayview.
Fun dog park! Be aware that there are some area with damaged fence. If your pup sees a squirrel in the woods and enters that area thru damaged fence, well, good luck on recall. I saw so many owners with the leashes on their hands finding their dogs around ;)
Best park for our every day walks
The park and trail is beautiful. Be careful in the winter as there are icy areas, especially going down stairs. Its a circuit trail that is mostly fenced in but I believe it is possible for your dog to get away from you so keep a close eye. I found during quarantine that there were a lot of people enjoying the park as well without dogs but with kids. Just be aware as my Golden Retriever scared the crap out of a kid (he loves kids and ran straight for him with his big Golden smile which must have been scary for a little one)
Really fun off-leash dog trail! There is a river that runs through that the dogs love to take a dip in during the summer.
Nice off leash trail, can be busy on weekends and does get pretty muddy in some sections.
Beautiful park, especially the off-leash woods walk, but ruined by people. So much dog poop everywhere. In the on-leash areas, 4/5 people have their dogs off leash, and these are not the dogs who have good recall unfortunately. It's muddy year-round but I don't mind that.
