Located in the beautiful Malahide Demense, this official dog park offers a fantastic space for your furry friend to stretch their legs and socialize. With a spacious off-leash area, dog-friendly trails, and open fields, your pup will have plenty of opportunities to roam and play. The park is also equipped with amenities like water fountains, shaded seating areas, and wheelchair accessibility, making it a welcoming environment for all visitors. Plus, it has free entry, so you can enjoy a day out with your dog without any fees. Keep in mind, however, that the park is not fully fenced, so if you have a more excitable dog, be cautious as other walkers and joggers frequently share the space. Recent reviews point out that while the park is generally well-kept, there are concerns about stagnant water in certain areas, especially in warmer months. Although it can get busy on sunny weekends, the lively atmosphere is perfect for social canines looking to make new friends! Historically, Malahide Demense has served as a significant and scenic part of the region, originally part of the grounds surrounding Malahide Castle, which dates back to the 12th century. The park is not only a recreational haven but also a spot enriched with history, making it a delightful place for both locals and visitors to explore while enjoying the company of their four-legged friends.

Large space but not enclosed or gated. Park goers don't always realise it's a dog park so there are walkers and joggers at times, which is not good for my jumpy lab who wants to play with everyone. Fearful of the day she runs up to the wrong person... council refuse to add an enclosure. It is mostly well kept except there are ditches along the side that are full of filthy water. There are water troughs but they seem to only collect rain water and are stagnant, they can get very grimey in the summer. Lots of dogs during sunny afternoons, especially on the weekend.
