Located at 11 Carnelian Court, Massey, Auckland, this dog-friendly park is a fantastic spot for you and your furry friend to enjoy the outdoors. With amenities like an off-leash area, a water fountain, shaded seating, and a dog-friendly trail, your pup will love roaming around and socializing with other dogs. The park offers plenty of open space for your dog to run freely, making it perfect for energetic play sessions. Remember, though, it can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so keep an eye out for other off-leash dogs, as not all of them may have reliable recall. Though the park does not have a fully fenced area or designated spots for big and small dogs, the varied pathways—some concrete and some gravel—are great for all-weather access, and the park is wheelchair accessible. With free parking available nearby and no entry fees, it’s a convenient option for dog owners. Just be aware that poop bags are not provided, so be sure to bring your own. Overall, this park has received 4.5 stars on DogPack, with many praising its spaciousness and playful atmosphere, making it a wonderful place for your dog to enjoy some fresh air and fun!

My dog loves coming to this park and loves interacting with the other dogs there. Most of the off-leash dogs are larger breed who are at least twice her size. They usually play well with her and she enjoys playing with them. She usually has a great time! If you don’t want to be greeted with off-leash dogs, might not be your favourite park.
This park is great for a bit of space for your dog to run around BUT it does get really busy at times. Sports, weekends, lots of others walking their dogs. I have had too many occasions with off leash dogs running up to mine and they have zero recall so something to be wary of. Overall a great park when it’s a bit quieter and everyone is keeping their distance, a big playground up the top for kids, plus a water fountain up there that the dogs can drink from. There is quite a bit of parking here too
There are lots of entrances into the park so can do a circuit or come and go from different places. The entrance from Rush Creek Drive goes through a small stand of bush with a stream. The track is gravel and well-formed. Paths within the park are concrete so all-weather use. It is a multi-use park with different leash rules for different areas (see photo). Often lots of children, so good for confident dogs but not so good for nervous dogs.
