Really good easy walk for both dogs and humans although it is quite gravelly underfoot in the first half of the walk so if your dog has booties you may want to put them on for this one, the second half is well shaded, we went on a nice day so we're quite hot walking the first half which was kind of annoying as we thought it was shaded the whole way round. It took us between 30-40mins with the dogs and lots of sniffing stops so was a decent walk for them :) definitely worth checking out if in the area and looking for an easy walk with no hills or steps
Lovely easy walking track through the bush. Nice and sheltered so good for hot day or rainy days as you won’t get too wet. Not very long (20min loop). Lake is tapu (sacred to local iwi) so no swimming.
Fantastic walk for dogs and humans. It’s changing its name soon to Nga Roto o Rangataua. We are lucky to have a DOC reserve open to dogs so there are no facilities here, just the natural environment. Respect it please
Quiet, easy walking track, plenty of shade if it’s hot

Great for dogs to have a sniff around. Lovely bush walk around the lake.
