If you're a dog owner looking for a great place for your furry friend to run and play, the Kuri (Dog) Exercise Area in Taihape is an official dog park worth checking out! Located at 16 Robin Street, this fully fenced park offers a delightful off-leash area where your dog can burn off energy in a spacious open field. The park features comfortable seating and shaded areas for you to relax while your pup enjoys their romp. With a double-gated entrance and free parking nearby, it's an easy and safe spot to visit. Plus, it comes highly recommended by other dog owners, boasting a solid 5-star rating from 4 reviews! While Kuri Park is a fantastic stop on your North Island travels, it's important to note some limited amenities: there's no separation for big or small dogs, no water fountain, and it isn't wheelchair accessible. Nevertheless, visitors praise the park for its cleanliness and well-maintained grass—no muddy paws here! Your dog can enjoy a sniffing tree and may even discover some toys brought by other happy pups. So load up the car and make Kuri Park one of your regular go-to spots for fun and exercise!

Was looking for a nice dog park after driving from Wellington Ferry to our destination and our puppy needed to let some energy out. It is exactly like its photo which helped us.
My dogs get excited as soon as we drive into Taihape cuz they know we are near this park This is a regular stop when travelling up or down the North Island. It’s well fenced and always clean and well maintained — and not muddy like so many other dog parks.
Great for a stop off if you are on the road! Basic but good, clean and tidy with great grass, a sniffing tree and a water bowl!
