Haytor Quarry in Newton Abbot, UK, is a fantastic dog-friendly area perfect for pet owners looking to enjoy the great outdoors with their furry friends. This scenic park provides ample space for dogs to roam freely, particularly on quieter days when you might not encounter any livestock. While many visitors have enjoyed off-lead walks, it's essential to keep your dog on a lead during spring, as the area is home to cows, ponies, and other wildlife that can pose a distraction or safety concern. Although the park may lack certain amenities, the natural environment and breathtaking views make it a lovely destination for a day out. Most importantly, owners appreciate the freedom their pets can experience while enjoying a walk along the moors. Just be prepared to bring treats to keep your dogs motivated and close by, especially when exploring the inviting landscape.

No cows or ponies yesterday, managed off lead for most of walk. No wildlife in sight. Dogs loved the freedom of moors, while staying close with temptations of balls and treats.. Fabulous

Lovely walk with the dog but during spring they need to be kept on a lead. There are cows and ponies, and other wildlife.
