Dinas Bran is excellent place for a walk, but you should keep dog on a lead. There are sheep in the castle grounds and surrounding hill as part of Cadr land management, and the surrounding fields have sheep too. There is a track around the bottom which provides an alternative route if you want avoid the walk up the hill to the castle, that joins onto the panorama track
