Located at 453 C St, Chula Vista, CA, this official dog park offers a cozy and relatively quiet space for dog owners and their pets. The park features designated areas for both large and small dogs, with the larger area providing ample hillside space for your furry friend to explore. While it may feel somewhat casual—situated behind a tennis court and adjacent to sports fields—the low traffic on weekends can make for a peaceful visit. Benches and shaded seating are available for owners to relax while keeping an eye on their pups. Though amenities such as proper dog play equipment are lacking, the setting still allows for a good experience, especially if your dog has a reliable recall for off-leash play, as some users have pointed out. The small dogs' area features a few trees and a bench, while nearby horseshoe pits could use some attention. In summary, this park is an excellent choice for a low-key dog outing, especially if you appreciate a tranquil environment away from the bustle of the city.

This park is very nice, but it not unkempt! I took my pup out here but was litered with over grown weeds some kind of thorns, that she didn't want to stay! There were no doggy bags can you please clean up the park!!!
Wasn’t really sure it was a dog park just kind of the back of a tennis ball court wouldn’t trust off leash u less your dogs have a good callback
Quite park in the city, low traffic for a Sunday afternoon. We were only ones until right at the end another dog showed up but very friendly. Park bench seating in shade available
The amount of space, IMO, is great and a good use of park that is at the corner of Fifth Avenue and C St. The large dogs only area encompasses hillside and the majority of the corner. The small dogs only area is just before that with 3 small trees and a permanent blue bench. Across from that is horseshoe pits that are in desperate need of maintenance. Before that are some benches, a covering, and 4 tennis courts. Beyond that is sports fields. It’s 11:30a Wednesday with gloomy skies. Sancho and I are the only ones here.
