Cuesta Park in Mountain View, CA, is an official dog park that offers a great experience for dog owners and their furry friends. The park features two off-leash areas: the "annex," a circular path approximately one-third of a mile long that allows dogs to roam freely until 10 AM daily, and the "bowl," a grassy space where many people also let their dogs off-leash, though its status is less clear. Both areas are popular among local dog owners, especially the annex, where you can walk and enjoy some exercise alongside your dog. However, it's important to note that neither area is fenced, so ensure your dog has good recall if they wander off. Overall, Cuesta Park provides a wonderful, open space for dogs to socialize and play, but owners should keep an eye on their pets to ensure they stay safe.

There are two off leash areas at Cuesta. The “annex” is a circle (1/3 of mile?) you can walk in with your dog. It is off leash every day until 10am. I know people go past that time but not sure if anyone enforces. There is another area called the “bowl”. That one is just a grassy area where many people let their dogs off leash. That may be unofficial I’m not sure. We love the annex since we can “migrate” with our dogs and get our own steps in. Neither area at Cuesta is fenced so be sure your dog will listen.
