Love this place for hiking! It can be quite hot and exposed when you’re walking in and out, but there are a good portion of trails in the shade. Officially all dogs must be on leash when walking the trails. Not everyone follows that. As long as your dog is respectful and doesn’t run up on others (people/dogs/horse/bikes) people don’t mind the off leash offenders for the most part. There are NO trash cans at the parking lot. Be prepared to carry your pups poop home with you. Do not be tempted by the many offenders to leave your poop along the trail, it’s rude (at least burry it…).
