Located at Foothill Rd in Ventura, CA, this dog-friendly park is a popular spot for local dog owners and their furry companions. Visitors have noted the park's accessible amenities and a scenic hiking trail within walking distance, making it an appealing destination for outdoor activities. However, it's important to mention that while the park encourages leashing dogs, many owners do not adhere to this guideline, which can lead to unexpected encounters between dogs—some of which may not have proper recall. This inconsistency has raised concerns among park-goers, particularly for those with children or service animals. Overall, if you choose to visit, be prepared for a lively environment filled with dogs and keep an eye on your surroundings for a safer experience.

Nice park. A lot of people with their dogs but be aware some do let them off leash. There’s a hike walking distance away too.

I really like this park but there’s signs everywhere to keep your dog leashed but unfortunately most people do not. I wouldn’t take issue if dogs weren’t rushing up to my dogs with no recall when my dog could easily startle and bite them. Poor dog etiquette. No one enforces the leash during the week. Most people stay at the end near the entrance with their off leash dogs but there are several a day who come by the playgrounds when means I need to be very aware and careful of my environment when taking my kids and service dog
