About an hour from CO Springs. Beautiful paths the Park & Rec team were maintaining when we were there. Murphy was off leash most of the way. We saw 2 other dogs 1-small on leash & 1-medium off leash & they were super sweet. You can take about a 1.5 mile round trip to Horse Thief falls. Pretty easy not much incline. Creek along the way - we’d stop so Murph could drink the clear fresh water & roll in the tall grass next to it You can take a longer hike to pancake Mtn but they re-did part of the trail & I’d say it’s intermediate b/c of all the inclines. Some said 4.4 round trip. I’d say more like 6. 90% shade & 12 degrees cooler than the Springs You start to feel the elevation going to pancake so keep the pup & yourself hydrated. Goes to 10k I believe & your lungs let u know
