Located at 5505 SW Archer Rd in Gainesville, FL, this official dog park spans 15 acres and offers a fantastic playground for your furry friends. With two man-made ponds on the property, your dog can enjoy cool, treated water during their playtime, and you'll find clean water bowls scattered throughout for hydration. The park is well-loved, as evidenced by recent user reviews, highlighting a welcoming community of fellow dog owners and plenty of shaded seating areas for relaxation. For just $7 for a day pass, the park has a good mix of friendly dogs, with the fee also helping to keep out less sociable pups. This is further bolstered by the requirement of proof of rabies vaccinations for entry, ensuring a safe environment for all. Visitors recommend bringing insect repellant, but overall, this park offers a great experience for both dogs and their owners, making it a worthwhile destination for your next outing!

I visited a few times before deciding to buy a monthly membership (it’s $7 for a day pass). My dog loves it — she gets all excited when the park comes into view from the car. I love that there are two man-made ponds on the property, which keep her cool. The water is treated, so while it’s not clean per se it’s also not dangerous for them to drink. There are also water bowls sporadically placed throughout the park and they’re always filled with clean water! The park itself is huge (15 acres) with lots of shaded seating for owners. Everyone I’ve met there has been super kind, and there are enough regulars that you eventually get to know the dogs well. As far as safeguards, to be honest, the $7 fee seems to deter people from bringing dogs who maybe aren’t as friendly. I also really appreciate that they require proof of rabies shots to get in. Overall really good experience with the park itself. Pro Tip: bring insect repellant!
