Nice park with turf and water features. Have had several experiences where owners do not pay any attention to their dogs and the babies. Have had to leave for my dogs safety.
We always have fun here! As with any place, the owners are the ones that may not make the experience worthwhile. Some owners don’t pay attention to their pet(s), letting them run wild, bully others, and perpetuate a landmine maze of feces. But when owners are there to enjoy time with their pets and other owners, it is a fabulous opportunity, full of obstacles, water splashes in the summer, and plenty of room to run and chase balls. There are also shaded areas to sit, and separate large and small dog areas. If your dog needs more alone space, they have an area designated for that as well!
We love going to Newtown. The water feature is amazing in the hot weather. We like that it’s clean and mostly turf. It seems like everyone is very good and picking up after their dogs too! Lots of poop bag dispensers and tennis balls are abundant! Definitely worth driving to on the weekend!
Often crowded! Best on weekdays. Fenced area next to the big/small parks is often more quiet and has full shade but can be wet after rainfall. Hollywood Feed and Scenthound located adjacently.
It has a little walking trail for humans and some agility pieces! The ground is turf which is sprayed down nightly!
