Freedom Park Dog Park in Valdosta, GA, is a well-maintained, official dog park that offers a fantastic experience for dog owners and their furry friends. The park features a lush green environment with large mature trees providing ample shade. It includes three separate dog areas: an “All Dog” space, a “Small Dog” area, and a “Dog Run” designed for long-distance play. Each section has double gated entrances, poop bags, trash cans, benches, picnic tables, and plenty of shade to keep both dogs and their owners comfortable. The Dog Run area is particularly suited for throwing balls and allowing dogs to sprint freely with minimal obstacles. While there are no restrooms directly at the dog park, facilities are available in the larger park nearby, which also includes recreational areas for families. Visitors are advised to bring bug spray, as there may be some pesky insects around. Overall, Freedom Park Dog Park is a great place for dogs to play and socialize while their owners enjoy a spacious and clean environment.

Nice medium sized park, very lush green with large mature trees for shade. Big parking lot with trash cans. 3 separate dog areas: “All Dog”, “Small Dog” and “Dog Run”. Large and small areas have double gated entrances, poop bags, trash cans, benches and picnic tables, lots of shade, obstacles and water. Dog Run area is long and narrower with only a few benches. I think it’s literally meant as an area to throw the ball a longer way with fewer obstacles so your dog can really run. No bathrooms by the dog park, but it’s part of a larger people park so there are probably bathrooms over by the kids areas. Also, bring bug spray. Bugs weren’t terrible when we stopped, but I had a few following our walk and was glad I put on bug spray.
