Located at 6350A Minkler Rd, Yorkville, IL 60560, this park offers a dog-friendly environment perfect for adventurous outings with your furry friends. The park features a scenic trail that meanders through a beautiful natural prairie, complete with a central pond that can be a delightful but potentially hazardous attraction for dogs who love to swim. While the main trail is accessible via a gravel road and includes gentle elevation changes, there are also smaller offshoot trails for those seeking exploration in the woods. As noted in recent user reviews, this park provides a nice escape for dog owners, although caution is advised during the duck hunting season, particularly in the early mornings when the park may not be the best choice for walks. Overall, it's a charming spot for a leisurely walk, but be sure to keep an eye on your dogs near the water!

This a great option for an out of the way park and trail. There is a long gravel dirt road to get to the actual trail but once there it opens up to a really beautiful natural prairie with a pond in the center. I do believe that this are is open to duck hunting seasonally so it’s not always a great place to walk the dogs in early mornings. I like it because I can let the dogs off leash and the path has just a little bit of elevation changes and lots of twists and turns. There are also a couple smaller trails that shoot off into the woods for the more adventurous. My only caution that there is a large pond right in the center of the area and you will walk by it at some point so if you don’t want your dogs to swim be aware of it.
