This dog park is beautiful. It is well maintained with lush green grass, a hose for spraying dogs off, covered seating for adults to shelter the sun. And a double gated entrance. Park is open sunrise to sunset. it is a very peaceful, nice place to hang out. It has 4 sections (under 30 lbs, over 30 lbs, an agility section, and a treated pond for the dogs to swim in.) It isn't free to the public, it is kept locked and members have their own key fobs. However, out of town/state ppl are welcome to get a membership. It is usually a quick and easy process and can be obtained within 24 hrs or less if the ofc is open. Go to the Parks site for the city and fill out the application. Dogs need to be up to date on rabies. There is a small fee for a membership that is good for the rest of the year. No matter the month you join, they all expire Dec 31st. You can usually pick up your key at the office or they can mail it. Children are not allowed and they are very firm on this policy.
