Norman Swanner Dog Park in Thibodaux, LA, is an official dog park designed to cater to both large and small breeds. It features separate areas for dogs of different sizes, though keep in mind that enforcement of these spaces can be challenging. The park is equipped with excellent amenities, including two water stations and readily available poop bags. Many users praise the agility courses available, making it a great place for dogs to exercise and socialize. However, potential visitors should be aware of some maintenance issues, particularly mud spots resulting from poor drainage around the pavilion. While this helps create a fun, off-leash experience, some dogs may come home muddy after a visit. Improvements such as gutters for better water drainage and fans in the pavilion for hot days have been suggested by users. Overall, if you time your visit right, you’ll find it’s usually not too crowded and a fantastic place for dogs to enjoy themselves!

Mud issue
Other than the mud spots, it's a great park and usually not too crowded if you go at the right time
Poop bags and agility courses are A+, there is also 2 water stations. The separation for big dog and small dog is nice but there is no way to enforce it. Only downside is the water drainage around the pavilion, dogs come home muddy. Would be nice if gutters were installed to have the water drain away from the dog park. Fans in the pavilion would also be nice during the hot summer months.
