About This Park

Located at the corner of Stanley and Gilbert Streets in Latrobe, Tasmania, this official dog park is an excellent choice for dog owners looking for a secure and enjoyable place for their pets to play. With 8ft high solid wire fencing, it's particularly well-suited for dogs that are proficient jumpers, ensuring a safe environment for your furry friends. The park features separate enclosures for small, vulnerable, and large dogs, allowing for a more tailored play experience depending on your dog's size and temperament. While the overall space may not be enormous, it provides ample room for active dogs to socialize and play, as demonstrated by recent visitors like Axel, a rescued German Shepherd. The park also includes some agility equipment, making it a great option for training and exercise. Overall, this dog park is a solid choice for owners seeking a safe, fun environment where their dogs can run free and enjoy some off-leash social time.

If your dog needs high fences this park is for you! We recently rescued a 9 month old German Shepherd Axel who was reported to have escaped his old yard several times by jumping the 6ft paling fence. We took him to Latrobe for his first social off leash experience. It was perfect with 8ft solid wire fencing. Not huge spaces but big enough for Axel to have a game of chase with his greyhound sister. Small vulnerable and large dog enclosure. Some good agility equipment built in which will be great for his training.
