Located on Unnamed Road in Omaha, NE, this official dog park offers a unique experience more akin to an off-leash walking or hiking area rather than a traditional dog park. Dog owners will appreciate the natural setting filled with trees, perfect for exploring with their furry companions. While the park provides poop bags, there is only one trash can available, so it’s important to plan accordingly. Be mindful of a few open gaps in the fencing and keep your dog up to date on tick prevention, as the tall grass can harbor pests. It's worth noting that the park has some confusing signage regarding leash rules—several signs indicate that dogs should be leashed, yet most visitors opted to allow their pets to roam freely within the designated area. Since the park lacks amenities such as water stations and benches (only one bench is available in the sun), it's advisable to bring your own water and a comfortable seating option for yourself. Overall, this park is a great spot for dogs to thrive in a semi-wild environment, but preparation and awareness of its unique characteristics are key for a pleasurable visit.

Unique dog park. More of an off leash walking/ hiking area than traditional dog park. Poop bags available but only one trash can I could find. Lots of trees but only one bench in the sun.Be careful of a couple open gaps in the fence and make sure your pup is up to date on tick meds as there is a lot of tall grass. Be sure to bring your own water. Science can be confusing as to whether your dog needs to be on leash or off leash. There are multiple signs that say both things. I believe some of the dog must be on leash signs didn’t get removed when they made the dog park. While I was there we did not observe anybody who’s dog was on a leash in the area. Once outside of the area people did have dogs on leashes.
