About This Park

Located in Carson City, NV, the official dog park is a clean and well-maintained space ideal for dog owners looking for a social environment for their pets. With a variety of amenities designed for canine enjoyment and play, the park offers a good opportunity for training sessions. However, be cautious as some recent visitors have noted that not all dogs behave well. Reports of rough play and aggressive encounters, particularly from larger dogs, have raised concerns. It's advisable to supervise your dog closely, especially around the fenced areas separating small and large breeds, which some users say are inadequately designed, allowing large dogs to intimidate the smaller ones. While the park provides a fun atmosphere for dogs to socialize and play, it's essential for owners to remain vigilant. Some reviews indicate that the level of supervision by other pet owners may be lacking, leading to potentially hazardous situations. If you're considering visiting, prepare to observe your dog’s interactions closely and ensure they are safe and comfortable throughout their playtime.

The park can be fun for training, but most of the dogs play rough or straight up try to pin your dog by their neck. I had someone kick their dog off of mine after his dog snagged mine by the throat and pinned her. He calmly walked over, then kicked hard and pulled her off. His second dog tried to jump in, but we left quickly. People don’t seem to watch their dogs much and the fence dividing the smalls and bigs is short and see through allowing the large dogs to chase and stalk the little dogs
