Located at 400 W Woodcroft Pkwy in Durham, NC, this official dog park is a spacious and enjoyable destination for dog owners and their furry friends. The park features a predominately pea gravel surface, making it easy for cleanup, though it might get a bit messy on rainy days. Dog owners will appreciate the availability of water and a hose for tidying up after muddy playtime. While dogs are required to be registered with the city of Durham (with fees of around $17 for residents and $22 for non-residents), the process seems to be based on an honor system, as observed by recent visitors. Amenities include benches for resting and shaded areas for the pups to cool down, while parking is conveniently located along the adjacent road. Expect to find a friendly atmosphere, with a variety of dogs to socialize with, especially in the late afternoon when more pets come to play.

This is a spacious park, with lots of room to run. The majority of the park is pea gravel, which is nice for easy poop pickup, but it could be messy on a wet day. There is water available, and a hose for mud cleanup. Dogs are supposed to be registered with the city of Durham (I think $17 for residents and $22 for non residents, there is a QR code to sign up posted on the gate.) but this appeared to be on the honor system, at least while we were there. There are a few benches and shade available. There is parking along the road adjacent to the park, we went a little before 5 and had no issues finding a spot close by. There were about half a dozen dogs. After 5, many more pets were arriving.
