This is a slice of paradise in the southern portion of Mernda, where after a short few steps, you feel like you're in the middle of a national bush reserve. It has a well-worn dirt track that is accessible from Waterview Drive. This area is dense with gum trees, wild grasses & bird life. You might notice the water in the background in some of my photos, this is only a small pond that is home to a group of local ducks. It's not really suitable for swimming due to it not flowing. Although this area has no amenities, across the road in the car park for the sports oval, you'll find drinking fountains, seating, plus a gated oval with so open space to run around if there's no games playing!
